Rooted pigment started as a way to connect people with the nature of wood and the beauty that lies in the organic shapes of the grain. The way the trees disperse, correlating with how crazy our lives can become. I want to bring people a vibrant calmness by utilizing a modern color palette to brighten the peaceful images I create.

Each jewerly piece is hand crafted, down to pressing the flowers myself under part of my collection of records. A variety of these pieces hold a delicate combination of flowers, gold leaf, and glitter. My favorite collection features real bones that I have hand collected from the woods of Tennessee and pig teeth that have been donated to me.

I am a Columbus based enamelist. Enameling allows me to take advantage of vibrant colors that can be produced. Although most of my pieces are jewelry, I also like to create illustrative panels to place in up cycled jewelry boxes. My most recent work is a series of copper collages called “Experiments in Nature.”
